Dongguan University of Technology is the first public undergraduate college in Dongguan. It implements the management system of "co-construction by the province and the city, with the city as the main body". It is one of the first batch of pilot universities for the Ministry of Education's Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, one of the first batch of high-level science and engineering university construction units in Guangdong, and the only new type of high-level science and engineering university demonstration school co-constructed by the province and the city in Guangdong Province. Dr. Yang Zhenning, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nobel Prize winner in Physics, serves as the honorary president.
In quartz crucible applications, infrared (IR) thermal imaging delivers key benefits:
-
Crucible Wear Detection: IR identifies thermal hotspots indicating refractory degradation or micro-cracks, preventing sudden failure during high-temperature processes (e.g., crystal growth).
-
Temperature Uniformity Control: IR maps thermal gradients across the crucible wall to ensure even heating, avoiding material segregation or defects in melted substances (e.g., silicon for semiconductors).
-
Non-contact Lifetime Monitoring: Non-invasive IR scanning assesses crucible health without disrupting operations, extending service life and reducing replacement costs.
-
Process Anomaly Prevention: Real-time IR thermal data helps optimize heating parameters, minimizing thermal stress and preventing crucible deformation or leakage in high-purity environments.
